Securikett offers three new Security Label innovations

Firstly Securikett now produces a partial adhesive coating as a security feature on labels, with custom coating patterns which make imitation of security labels difficult. The adhesives are not applied over the entire surface but in customer-specific patterns that are not available in standard materials.

The partial adhesive coating is developed and produced exclusively according to customer specifications. The adhesives are applied in precisely defined, application-specific patterns that are unique to each customer. Without access to the same coating technology, the material cannot be imitated. The partial adhesive coating reduces material usage and improves recyclability of the labels, says the company

Vanessa Mitterer-Kling, head of the R&D explains, “Our partial adhesive coating is a technologically sophisticated, hard-to-access manufacturing process. This is far more than an innovative adhesive solution – this security feature consistently slows down counterfeiting.” Securikett carries out all production steps in-house, from the base material through silicones to adhesive application.

Labels can be combined with hidden or overt security features such as VOID effects, which cause visible changes upon tampering and cannot be reversed. “While conventional label manufacturers merely print on pre-fabricated self-adhesive laminates, we control the entire value chain,” adds Mitterer-Kling.

Another recent product development is a new Garment SecurityLabel which has been specially developed for garment retailers and fashion online shops who want to offer their customers the convenience of trying on clothing without risking unjustified returns.

The label is clearly visible applied to the garment; customers can try on the item at home or in the shop, if they decide to keep it, the label can be removed cleanly without leaving any residue; if they choose to return the item this is only possible with the intact security seal.

If a consumer attempts to remove the SecuritySeal, an irreversible opening effect is triggered in the label. This makes it impossible to remove and reattach the seal without visible evidence of tampering, allowing retailers to confidently refuse returns of garments that have already been worn.

This solution provides effective protection against return fraud, especially for high-value clothing or designer fashion often purchased for single events. In store customers can be confident that every item they purchase is unworn and authentic, not a previously returned garment. These security labels work on most fabrics and can be customized to meet your individual requirements – in adhesive, size, design, and tamper-evident features, according to the company.

Finally Securikett and DUST Identity have joined forces to introduce a new class of end-to-end authentication solutions that fundamentally strengthen how products are protected, authenticated, and trusted, they claim.

By embedding DUST Identity’s patented diamond dust–based, unclonable physical identity technology directly into Securikett’s tamper-evident security labels, each label becomes a one-of-a-kind physical anchor - permanently linked to secure digital records and instantly verifiable. This combination closes a critical gap in today’s authentication and traceability systems, the companies believe, digital systems such as serialization, blockchain, or databases are only as reliable as the physical identity they are tied to.

This new authentication solution delivers:  Unclonable authentication that cannot be copied, simulated, or reverse engineered; protection against counterfeiting, grey market diversion, and unauthorized reuse; secure physical-to-digital linkage to product data, compliance records, and lifecycle documentation; and support for regulatory, sustainability, and provenance requirements, they say.
