Lild is one of the world's best known Retailers. With origins in Germany it now has 11,000 stores across Europe and USA 

At the end of March 2023 there are 177 Lidl retail stores in the United States. The state with the most number of Lidl locations in the US is Virginia, with 33 retail stores, which is about 19% of all Lidl retail stores in the USA, followed closely by New York State (27) and North Carolina (26).
