LEREM

The L.E.R.E.M. (Laboratoire d'Etudes et de Recherches des Emballages Métalliques – Metal Packaging Research Laboratory) was established in 1961 by S.N.F.B.M., the French Metal Packaging and Closure Manufacturers Association, and has become a non-profit-making association since 1987.

The L.E.R.E.M. is an organizationwhich is authorized by the Ministry of Transport to approve packaging construction types, and for this purpose LEREM carries out the tests required by the regulations.

  • Drop tests
  • Hydraulic pressure tests
  • Air tightness tests
  • Stacking tests
  • Water absorption of fibreboard boxes by the Cobb method
  • Corrosion tests in accordance with the RID/ADR regulations.
