KDS Sp.

KDS Sp.

KDS began operation in March 1997 by selling adhesive labels and thermal transfer ribbons for barcode printers. With time, our offer has been extended to include ink rolls for Markem printers, hotstamping foils, rubber fonts and contact marking inks. This was an answer to the needs of our customers, who sought high quality, but also lower priced consumables for marking equipment.

Our activity was expanded to include distribution of Japanese Itochu printers and, starting with 2000, Sato printers. We offer a full range of barcode printers, from office to industrial models.

In 1999, the growing needs of our customers made it necessary to begin manufacturing (packaging and customising) thermal transfer ribbons. The new ribbon cutting machine allowed for importing the material and cutting it into small rolls at the company headquarters. This shortened the time required for fulfilling an order from 2 weeks to a few days. At the same time we launched the production of specialty labels: seals and data plates. Based on electronic cutting equipment, we began manufacturing labels in practically any dimensions, made of different materials, such as: polyester, Tyvek, PVC or polyamide. Printing is carried out with thermal transfer ribbons in over 12 colours, with any possible text, serial number, etc.

In 2000 we began manufacturing specialty labels: seals and data plates, thermal transfer ribbons, as well as selling SATO printers – office and industrial barcode printers.

In 2001 KDS moved to its own headquarters in Sulejówek, at 6 Krucza Street. 250 m2 of office space and 400 m2 of manufacturing and storage space, convenient arrangement of the entire space allowed for further dynamic growth, new jobs were created (also for disabled persons). The following year was critical for KDS. The first machine formanufacturing paper labels on a roll was purchased. This allowed us to fully satisfy the needs of our customers.
In 2006, the first flexographic machine was purchased. Two years later, Mark Andy 2200 was purchased and the second manufacturing plant in Pionki near Radom was opened. In 2011, the machinery stock was expanded with another Mark Andy device, model P5. In the same year a decision was made to move from analogue to digital technology and to prepare polymers in HD technology.

The trust of our customers and the high quality of our products was confirmed when we were awarded the ISO 90012008 NR. CER. 12623 certificate covering our entire operation. In 2014, the innovative KDS24 program was introduced – it allows our customers to submit orders 24/7, monitor their orders and submit complaints and letters of inquiry. The system allows for integration with the customer ERP-class software.
